This British journal is published twice-yearly and is aimed primarily at editors who would like to publish more translations. An editorial committee made up of British literary experts and book trade members selects new German-language publications with particular potential for translation and presents them for review in the journal and its accompanying website. Three thousand copies of the journal are distributed throughout the world.

In 2004, funding will be provided for translations into Arabic, and the following year, it is envisaged that the promotion program (not only financial assistance, but also the organization of training courses for literary translators) will focus on an East Asian language.
